Designer Notes:
My clients were initially looking at quartz countertops because of their durability and beauty. After talking to them about their desire for a rustic feel to their kitchen, I suggested a butcher block countertop. I showed them the butcher block counter that we carry from Web-Don, and they were thrilled with the wood choices. Their kitchen had white cabinets, so they decided on a lighter wood, Maple, for their butcher block countertops. The only down side was the 6 weeks lead time it took for the counters to be delivered, but once installed, they were very happy with the results. Their new kitchen was even better than they had imagined!

Operation Handwarmer: A Collection Effort Supporting Our Troops
Affordable Quality Marble & Granite is currently the only company in Aiken, SC participating in this amazing event. Operation Handwarmer is a collection effort for winter items that will directly support troops in the 3rd Combat Aviation at Hunter Army Base in Savannah, GA, the 3rd ID at Fort Stewart in Savannah, GA, the 160th SOAR 3rd Battalion, the 75th Rangers, and the Signal Corp at Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA. We have a dropbox here at our store and want to encourage people to stop by and drop off hand warmers, beef jerky, protein snack bars, sunflower seeds, almonds, peanuts, cashews, trail mix, powdered drink mixes (all in small individual packages), small flashlights, playing cards, AA & AAA batteries, magazines, black fleece sock hats (no colors please).
Operation Handwarmers started in 2009 when it was discovered that there was a need for helping our troops to stay warm in very cold climates. They have collected hand warmers, snacks, personal items, and supplies from people from all areas and from all walks of life. Their mission is to simply let our troops know that we care about them by sending care packages filled with not only personal items, but with lots of support and thankfulness.
Any donations of hand warmers and/or supplies are greatly appreciated, but they do not accept cash or check donations.
